The OPRF (Oak Park and River Forest High School) hockey team was established when the Chicago Metropolitan Hockey League was founded in 1972. Since its inception, the club has emerged as a competitive force in Illinois high school hockey, bringing together dedicated student-athletes from Oak Park and River Forest. Over the decades, the program has grown in strength and reputation, producing talented players who have carried their skills to higher levels of the sport.
