Rookie of the Year

Varsity - Evan Kreidler   /  JV - Miles Winkler

Presented to a player who's in their first year on a team and showed the most promise.

Most Improved Player

Varsity - Oliver Puntillo  /  JV - Trevor Lane

Presented to a player on the team who has demonstrated the most growth throughout the season in terms of their hockey skills and/or in-game impact.

Leadership Award

Varsity - Joey Kahn  /  JV - Charlie Soltys

Presented to the player who has positively contributed to the team through their leadership on and off the ice. 

MVP

Varsity - Henry Gillman  /  JV - Mason Castonguay

Presented to the player that had the most impact on their team, through a combination of leadership, commitment, and contributions on the ice that resulted in their team’s success. Statistics (goals, assists, save percentage, etc.) play an important role in evaluating players for this award.

Huskie Award

Varsity - Jack Panichelli  /  JV - Nate Boon 

Presented to the player that exemplifies the values and character of a student athlete in the OPRF HC program. This player selected for this award should:

• Be highly competitive 

• Exhibit good sportsmanship, win or lose

• Encourage their teammates to be their best

• Prepare to be their best

• Effectively balance hockey with other aspects of their life

Coach David Salamoun "No Excuses" Award

Griffin Wesley

The award is awarded to the OPRF HS Hockey Club player who is consistently the hardest working athlete in the program. The player selected for this award conducts themselves the same way, whether at practice, training or games.

OPRFHC Kevin Bolin Service Award

Jack Panichelli

Presented to a player for recognition of their time and/or resources in the service of others.

OPRFHC John Cooper Academic Excellence Award

Joseph Leshnock

This award is given to the senior on the team with the highest weighted GPA during their tenure at OPRF through their 1st semester of senior year.
